Hello Sean, My fiance and I will be in Ireland for our Honeymoon this coming October 2017. I have always been intrigued by the paranormal and the spiritual realm and after doing some research on Leap Castle I feel like I have to see it. I will be leaving Killarney on the morning of Oct 9th. I will be staying at Ross Castle in the county of Meath that Monday night. However, on the drive from Killarney to the County of Meath I wanted to see if I could stop by and check out Leap Castle. It would be a dream come true and I wanted to give you a few months notice. Email me when you can at mdemario86@gmail.com

Hope to talk to you soon! Enjoy your day!

We were just at the castle and were kindly greeted by Martin, who was filling in for Sean. We wanted to thank you again for the warm welcome and the wonderful tour and talk by the fire. What an amazing job you have done Sean with the castle. It is nice to have someone committed to helping preserve history. The beauty of the castle and the land was just breathtaking. Sorry to have missed you but Martin did a great job of standing in.

    Thanks again!

Hi I’m not sure how to inquire on this group, what I am looking to know if possible how my relations Darby’s who lived in County Tyrone derived there was there one Darby clan, and did they just spread though out Ireland.any knowledge on this would be a great help with my family history and its
    research

    Thank you

  • Dear Sean and Anne –

I wanted to drop a note and say thank you for the hospitality extended towards my wife, Teresa, and I during our recent trip to Ireland. Letting us explore around the tower and grounds of Leap Castle during our honeymoon was a highlight for us both and was greatly appreciated. The kindness shown to us and invite to join as we interrupted your supper with friends was above and beyond anything we could have expected.

Hopefully fortune will find our paths crossing again.

    Best regards,

We visited Leap Castle in June 2017. Met enjoyed visiting with Sean Ryan, who is currently the owner. He spoke much of the history of Leap Castle and even played his flute for us prior to us leaving. There is certainly an air of mystique there, even though we did not see or hear anything extraordinary. Must visit if you have an opportunity. Also, introduce yourself to Mr. Ryan…well worth visiting with him.

Sean! We had a lovely time visiting September 8th, 2017. The castle was wonderful and your personal history lesson was very much appreciated, as well as your playing the whistle for us. Though we didn’t experience any spirits while we were there (fine by me!) we did have a lovely visit. Thanks so much!
    Cheers,
    Amanda, Josh, Amy, and Tommy

My friend and I planned our road trip to Leap a few weeks ago specifically to visit Leap Castle and to meet the owner Sean. We were not disappointed on both counts. Sean welcomed us into his home, shared the history and legends of the castle with us by his fire and then let us explore. Both of us were total in awe of what he has achieved with the restoration and we have vowed to return. The spirits didn’t let us down either, a total must for any budding paranormal enthusiast. Thanks again for a very memorial day.

I am glad you enjoyed Leap and yes, Sean and Anne are amazing and gracious hosts!
Tell me more about the spirits you encountered!

  • Brittany:

    Hi Sean,

My sister and I visited in early July, from the United States. I wanted to say how grateful we were/are that you graciously allowed us to look about your home and experience the infamous Leap Castle. The experience was truly the highlight of our trip to Ireland (Which is saying something since we fell madly in love with Ireland) and we hope to be able to visit again in the future.

    Thank you again!

  • Holly:

We visited the castle earlier this month and enjoyed the entire experience!

Sean answered all of our questions and treated us to a beautiful song on his Irish whistle.

I would recommend this castle to everyone
